OpusImg is 26 image tools in one workspace. Most of them never send your file anywhere.
That distinction is the point of the product, so it is worth being precise about. Tools marked local run entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly — compressing, resizing, converting, cropping, redacting, reading text out of a scan, or assembling a PDF all happen on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored on our side, and they work the same whether you are signed in or not. That makes them safe for client work, contracts, and anything you would not paste into a stranger’s web form.
Tools marked server are the AI ones — background removal, upscaling, restoration, object removal. They need models far too large to ship to a browser, so the image is uploaded, processed, and returned. Those consume credits. Hybrid tools sit between the two: the ordinary work happens locally and only the AI stage is sent on.
